ARK AGE AWARE SKINCARE REVIEW

ARK AGE AWARE SKINCARE REVIEW

My skin was really giving me the blues and I just couldn’t figure out why.

At first, I attributed these skin woes to hormones, my upcoming 40th birthday and this hectic blogging life. Little did I know, I would soon discover exactly what my skin was missing. Brandbacker recently presented me with the opportunity to review a top skincare line from the UK. I thought maybe…just maybe this product could give my face the boost it so desperately needed.

ARK is an award winning British skincare line with raving reviews from top beauty sources like ELLE and Glamour magazine. What makes this skincare brand so unique? ARK offers personalized skincare based upon age and skin concern. As a result of this selective process, ARK skincare delivers precisely what the skin needs throughout the 20s, 30s-40s, 50s and up.

Designed to be used as a complete sytem, it provides not only nourishment for the skin, but also skin perfection ingredients.

On another note, ARK skincare contains no parabens, sulphates, alcohol, formaldehyde, mineral oil, artificial fragrance or colours. It doesn’t get any better than that.

20160831_214948ARK might be considered a bit pricey but let me tell ya, this stuff is so worth it and a little goes a very long way. I suppose I see skincare in much the same way I see shoes…you get what you pay for.

I received two products: ARK Age Defend replenishing moisturizer from the 30s & 40s line, and ARK SkinPerfector hydration injection masque for all ages.

ARK Age Defend Replenishing Moisturizer 50ml / 1.7 oz defend_moisturiser_1024x1024

Age Defend replenishing moisturizer is ARK’s best selling moisturizer. It contains Co-enzyme Q10, shea butter, olive oil, peptides, vitamin A, kiwi, passion fruit, omega 3 fatty acids, and blue lotus (a powerful antioxidant). Used morning and evening, this moisturizer is designed to smoothe wrinkles and diminish premature aging. It has a refreshing smell, absorbs quickly, and feels light and clean on the skin. It comes in a really neat container which dispenses the perfect amount of product as you push down on it’s lid. One sweep across the lid, no muss no fuss.

ARK Hydration Injection Masque 75ml / 2.5 ozSkin_Perfector_-_hydration_injection_masque_1024x1024

The ARK Skin Perfector hydration injection masque is ahhhhmazing! It is designed t0 provide a dose of moisture to parched and dull skin. This treatment masque is perfect for tired, hormonal, stressed and blah skin…just like mine. From day one, I was SOLD on this particular product and trust me, that hardly ever happens. The moisture level was insane and my skin appeared hydrated and vibrant almost instantly.

The masque contains a blend of Vitamins A, B5, C, and E to protect skin and keep it supple, smooth, and calm. Its Hyaluronic Acid Booster drenches the skin with moisture while also preventing moisture loss. Lastly, sugar beet and abyssinian oil nourish the skin to a velvety texture. For women in their 30s to 40s, the masque is designed to be applied once or twice per week, left on the skin for about 10 minutes, then removed with a hot cloth.

For me, the masque feels a bit sticky after application but this goes away fairly quickly. The results are so worth this small effect.

So I have used ARK for two weeks now and the results are great. My skin is softer, brighter, and definitely more hydrated. See, that’s what my skin was missing all along…hydration! I can honestly say that I look forward to seeing what ARK does for my skin over the following weeks. If you’d like to learn more about ARK skincare you can find them at http://arkskincareusa.com.
