Coffee Break Talk Review: Signature Fragrance From The Fragrance Outlet

Coffee Break Talk Review: Signature Fragrance From The Fragrance Outlet

“He had preserved the best part of her and made it his own: the principle of her scent.”

Perfume by Patrick Suskind

Who doesn’t love to hear the words, “Ooh, you smell good! What are you wearing?” I think most of us do. The usual response is to offer a smile, politely say thank you and pretend we weren’t already wondering when you’d notice.

[Tweet theme=”basic-border”]Fragrance can be empowering, romantic, seductive, energizing, and relaxing. It can stir up an emotion or bring back a memory…you know… like when an old photo falls from a scrapbook.[/Tweet]

True right?

With that being said, I was recently offered the opportunity to review a best-selling fragrance for The Fragrance Outlet, an online retailer. Just in case you aren’t familiar with The Fragrance Outlet, there are over 100 Fragrance Outlet stores, each offering some of the largest selections of name brand and designer fragrances.

Like many single moms, the ability to buy something nice, without ruining my budget, is very important to me. What woman doesn’t want to treat herself sometimes? Well thankfully, the Fragrance Outlet offers some of the most amazing mark-downs, thus winning not only in selection, but also in affordability.

As I stated earlier, The Fragrance Outlet is now available to online shoppers who don’t have the desire and/or resources to travel to and from a store-front location. However, if you would rather shop in person, there is a good chance that there is a Fragrance Outlet near you. You can use their convenient store locator to be sure. Okay, I guess that’s enough background…on to the review.

The website is very clean-looking, boasting a fresh white background and mostly black text. The menu at the top of the page is categorized to quickly find women’s, men’s, exclusive, brand name, and sale priced scents.

The categories are further broken down to allow the shopper to search for gift sets, accessories, best sellers, new arrivals, miniatures, boys, and girls.

When clicking on the individual fragrances, you will see a breakdown of the various fragrance notes, customer reviews, ability to add the fragrance to a wish list, and/or the option to simply follow the price. I like the Follow The Price feature because their system will send you an email or text when there is a price change in your chosen product.

At the time of this review, there were tons of fragrances with a 40% discount code listed right on the page. Did I say I love sales? Not only are the fragrances already marked down, but the additional savings make buying here an absolute no brainer. As an added bonus, they offer FREE shipping on purchases over $50.00.

The Fragrance Outlet offers a huge variety of designer brands. Just a few of the brands I noticed while browsing the site were, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Bvlgari, Donna Karan, and Calvin Klein. That’s only the tip of the iceberg; to even attempt to list everything this site offers would be insane.

The Fragrance Outlet also has a selection of fragrances exclusively sold by their store. I was lucky enough to receive one of these exclusive fragrances to review, but more on that later.

The Fragrance Outlet only sells 100% genuine designer fragrances. No imposters allowed.

As I checked out with my fragrance, I was surprised and happy to be offered purchase protection from Google. After reading into this a bit more, I discovered that only the best stores on the web can receive this badge from Google. Stores must have an exceptional track record and great customer service for this type of designation. Did I say the protection is free? It’s FREE! $1000 worth of purchase protection for eligible purchases. Needless to say, this made me feel very safe in proceeding with my order.

I chose the fragrance, Bamboo Eau De Parfum Spray by Franck Olivier, for this review. I had not heard of Franck Olivier prior to this review, so I was excited to test it out. My parfum arrived in a simple yet elegant white gift box with a navy blue ribbon and showcasing The Fragrance Outlet seal. The parfum was a light pink liquid in a pretty glass bottle with a bamboo emblazoned on the front. The bottle was large at 75 ml or 2.5 fl.oz. I must tell you, I am in love with this fragrance! Details below.

Bamboo by Franck Olivier is a pretty fragrance which starts off seductive and ends with a nice powdery finish. It has nice sillage but longevity could be a bit better. It has top notes of violet leaves, black currant and ivy, heart notes of freesia, ylang-ylang, rose, and lily, and finally end notes of vetyver, cedarwood,  and musk.

No I didn’t know all of that information ahead of time, I told y’all this site is FULL of information.

This fragrance is very feminine and pretty. My nose didn’t detect any bamboo, mostly floral, black currant, and musk. I like the fact that this fragrance is floral yet not overpowering, and definitely not too sweet.

My experience with The Fragrance Outlet was great. The website was user-friendly, easy to navigate, checkout was smooth, shipping was FAST, and I received a wonderful fragrance. No complaints from this chick. Check em out for yourself right here.

Until next time,
