Looking for an opportunity to work from home? Finally some REAL options.

Looking for an opportunity to work from home? Finally some REAL options.

It’s the same ole thing. Sunday afternoon comes around, and even though you’re thankful for having a job, a sinking feeling creeps over you. You’ve got to go to work tomorrow. But what if you could simply wake up, make some coffee, sip it slowly, and walk into the other room…. in your PJs no less…. and make that money?

Would you be interested? I knew you would.

So I will assume the reason you’re reading this post is because like so many others, you are ready for something different, and you’re exhausted at the thought of another day in morning traffic, long commutes, and engaging in life draining work that you do……well…..because it pays the bills.

Well hopefully this is your day for a blessing.

FlexJobs has released their third annual list of the top 100 companies with work from home job options.  Some of the featured companies offer 100 percent telecommuting options, while others offer some or optional telecommuting. With over 40,000 jobs in the FlexJobs database, you are surely getting a great list to start with.

For example, UnitedHealth Group, one of the largest networks of doctors, hospitals, health organizations, and caregivers in the U.S., is also one of the remote employers on the FlexJobs site. Another familiar online retailer, Amazon.com, is a Fortune 100 company with more than 90,000 employees and offers full-time, part-time, and remote job opportunities.

Additionally, according to Global Workplace Analytics.com:

Regular work-at-home, among the non-self-employed population, has grown by 103% since 2005 and 6.5% in 2014. This represents the largest year over year increase since before the recession.

  • 3.7 million employees (2.5% of the workforce) now work from home at least half the time.
  • The employee population as a whole grew by 1.8% from 2013 to 2014, while employees who telecommuter population grew 6.5%.

Now that’s some pretty impressive stats.

Well with no further delay, here’s a list of the first 10 remote employers as featured on the FlexJobs third annual list. For the full list, click here.
